Grow-How Kit

In an effort to provide families with safe, educational, at-home-friendly activities, we’re launching a special-edition Grow-How Kit, with $20 from each kit sold being donated to Detroit Prep, a free public elementary school located on the East Side of our hometown, Detroit. Designed for adults and children alike, the set includes a small Bloomscape Philodendron Heartleaf plant, a Speckl propagation kit, downloadable plant coloring cards, and an exclusive plant care workshop led by Plant Mom Joyce Mast and her grandchildren.

Like so many organizations in the country, the Detroit Prep community has been deeply affected by COVID-19 as kids spend time apart from classmates and teachers and adjust to virtual learning. Our donations will provide students with at-home school supplies so they can successfully continue their studies during this uncertain time.

PLANT:
The Philodendron Heartleaf Green is a fast-growing, easy, vining plant. Its graceful, heart-shaped leaves are glossy green in color. Native to Africa and the Canary Islands, the Heartleaf can be grown as a trailer or climber. This full, trailing plant is perfect for the top of a bookshelf or in a plant hanger where its vines can cascade.

The Philodendron Heartleaf is incredibly forgiving and will tolerate all kinds of neglect including low light, poor soil, and inconsistent watering. This is a great first-time houseplant or gift for anyone who wants to enjoy the natural beauty of plants without a lot of maintenance.

Step up your plant game with this beautiful, handmade propagation kit. Each kit comes with a concrete terrazzo stand and glass tube, rooting hormone, and step-by-step instructions. Whether you’re growing your plant collection or wanting to share the joys of plant life with a friend, this kit is a stylish and easy way to display your plant babies.
